Welcome

Welcome to the web site of Wolverhampton Astronomical Society.

An amateur group founded in 1951, the Society has witnessed over a half a century of fantastic achievements in astronomy and space exploration.

The Society is open to anyone with an interest in Astronomy and all tastes and experience levels are catered for.

Experts and experienced members are available to give new members help and guidance in understanding this most interesting scientific subject. From time to time arrangements are made for practical experience with binoculars and telescopes.

Why not come and visit us and check out our warm and friendly atmosphere?

We arrange an interesting and varied programme of lectures from Professional and experienced Amateur Astronomers, plus Informal Meetings and discussions.
